Introduction
To unlock Dark Rifts, you must have at least 1 character that is level 56 or higher.
Once the Dark Rift is unlocked, monsters will randomly spawn in designated areas and can be defeated for various rewards including rare accessories up to DUO enhancement.
Dark Rift monsters can only be seen and defeated by you. Your party members and any other players cannot see the monster.
- There are a total of 6 different Dark Rift bosses (+3 from Dark Rift Events) that can spawn
- Each boss has a different difficulty level (Normal, Difficult, Very Difficult) which determines the rewards you gain when defeating them
- All 6 Dark Rift bosses can spawn at the same time, one of each boss.
- Dark rift bosses do not despawn and will remain on the map until you defeat them.
- When a Dark Rift boss spawns, you will get a notification from your Black Spirit. This is shown in the bottom right corner of your screen.
- When the boss first spawns, it is level 5, and will lose 1 level every 24 hours that it remains undefeated, lowering the AP and DP of the boss. Therefore, you can leave the boss on the map to make the boss easier to defeat. The level does not affect your rewards.
- After defeating the boss, it will respawn again within the next 7 days.
- Dark Rifts cannot be defeated during a Conquest/Node War, so you will need to move to a different channel to challenge the boss during this time.
- While attacking a Dark Rift boss, other players will not be able to see you and cannot engage in PVP.
- Death penalties do not apply if you die to your Dark Rift Boss, and the boss HP does not reset.
How to find your Dark Rift bosses
Access the Dark Rift boss window by clicking the monster icon in the bottom left of your screen, or by going to ESC menu > Adventure > Dark Rift.
Here you can see your available bosses, their current level, and their rewards.
Click the arrow to find their location.
You can also see your Dark Rift spawns on the world map (M), and can hover over them to view additional information.
Once you have arrived at the boss location, the boss will appear and can be defeated.

After defeating a monster from the Dark Rift, you can collect the rewards by looting the boss.
All bosses drop x2 of a certain reward box depending on their difficulty (Normal, Difficult, Very Difficult), as well as extra rewards and a chance of rare loot.

Dark Spirit’s Greed Exchange
Dark Spirit’s Greed can be exchanged for various items through the Manage Currency UI.
- Click the Manage Currency icon
on the top right of the screen (next to your mini-map). - Or open the UI by going to the ESC Menu – Rewards (F3) – Manage Currency Menu
